1. Privacy Policy
Mtweeter ("Mtweeter") knows that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy. By visiting the Mtweeter website located at www.Mtweeter.com and/or m.Mtweeter.com and any linked pages, features, content, or application services offered from time to time by Mtweeter in connection therewith (the "Site") and using Mtweeter services (the "Services"), you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy. Irrespective of which country that you reside in or create information from, your information may be used by Mtweeter in any other country where Mtweeter operates.
2. What Does This Privacy Policy Cover?
This Privacy Policy covers Mtweeter's treatment of personal information that Mtweeter gathers when you are on the Site and when you use the Services. This policy also covers Mtweeter's treatment of any personal information that Mtweeter's business partners share with Mtweeter.
This policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that Mtweeter does not own or control, including but not limited to third party services you access through the Site or or the Services, or to individuals that Mtweeter does not employ or manage.
3. Can Children Use Mtweeter's Services?
The Site and Services is not intended for children (i.e. people under 18). To the extent permissible by law, if you are under 18, you may still use the Site and Services only with involvement of a parent or guardian OR once you have obtained your parent's or guardian's permission.
4. What Personal Information About Customers Does Mtweeter Collect?
Our primary goal in collecting personal information is to provide you with a friendly, customized, and efficient experience. We collect the following types of information from our users:
Information You Provide to Us. The Site and Services is primarily designed to help you share information with the world. Most of the information you provide to us is information you are asking us to make public. You should be careful about all information that will be made public by Mtweeter. We receive and store any information you enter on the Site or through the Services or provide to us in any other way. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of the features of our Site and Services. The personal information you provide may be used for such purposes as responding to your requests for certain services, customizing the content you see, and communicating with you about specials and new products. In order for you to take full advantage of our Site and Services, you must provide registration information, including mobile number, e-mail address, password and, in certain circumstances, registration information for the third party services you access through the Service. We may also request demographic information and unique identifiers in order to provide you with a more personalized service, but this information is optional. To the extent you provide Mtweeter with personal information, you are not anonymous to us.
Information we collect when you interact with Mtweeter:
Site activity information. We keep track of the actions you take on the Site or through the Services, such as following a member and/or celebrities, add/remove favorite tweets, upload profile picture, post or reply to a tweet, etc.
Access Device and Browser Information. When you access the Site or the Services from a computer, mobile phone, or other device, we may collect information from that device about your mobile number, browser type, location, and IP address, as well as the pages you visit. Mtweeter may use this traffic data to help diagnose problems with its server, analyze trends and administer the Site and Services.
Cookie Information. We use "cookies" (small pieces of data we store for an extended period of time on your computer, mobile phone, or other device) to make the Site and Services easier to use, and to protect both you and Mtweeter. For example, we use them to store your login ID to make it easier for you to login whenever you come back to the Site. We also use them to confirm that you are logged into the Services, and to know when you are interacting with Mtweeter applications and websites. You can remove or block cookies using the settings in your browser, but in some cases that may impact your ability to use the Site and Services.
5. Will Mtweeter Share Any of the Information it Receives?
Information about our users is important to our business. We neither rent nor sell your personal information to anyone. We share your personal information only as described below.
Affiliated Business We Do Not Control. In certain situations, Mtweeter may provide services jointly with affiliated businesses. We will share customer information that is related to such transactions with that affiliated business. We require our affiliates to provide the same level of privacy protection that we do and they do not have the right to share or use personal information for any purpose other than for an authorized transaction.
Agents. We employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share your information with them to provide products or services to you. Examples include removing repetitive information from user lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, and providing customer service. Our agents subscribe to the same level of privacy protection as we do. Unless we tell you differently, Mtweeter's agents do not have any right to use the personal information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us.
Information You Post. When you post a message on the Site or through the Services, information about your location, your status, including user profile information, may be visible to other users. If you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, that information becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by others and redistributed through the internet and other media channels. You may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
Promotional Offers. We may send offers to certain users on behalf of other businesses. However, when we do so, we do not give the other business your name and address.
Business Transfers. In some cases, we may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, customer information is typically one of the business assets that is transferred. Moreover, if all or substantially all of Mtweeter's assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Mtweeter goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, customer information would be one of the assets that is transferred to or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Mtweeter may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
Protection of Mtweeter and Others. We may release personal information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; enforce or apply our conditions of use in other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Mtweeter, our employees, our users, or others. Mtweeter may disclose personal information to parties in compliance with Mtweeter's terms and conditions as Mtweeter in its sole discretion believes necessary or appropriate in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, piracy, or other unlawful activity.
When you invite a friend to join. When you ask us to invite a friend to become a member of our Services, we will send your friend a message on your behalf using your name. We may also send up to two reminders to them in your name.
With Your Consent. Except as set forth above, you will be notified when your personal information may be shared with third parties, and you will be able to prevent the sharing of this information.
6. How You Can View, Change, or Remove Information?
Viewing and editing your profile. You may change or edit your profile information at any time by going to your profile page on the Site. Information will be updated immediately. When you update information, however, we often maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records.
Deactivating your account. If you want to stop using your account you may deactivate it. When you deactivate an account, your information will still remain in our records. We save your profile information (followers, photos, etc.) in case you later decide to reactivate your account. Many users deactivate their accounts for temporary reasons and in doing so are asking us to maintain their information until they resume their account. You will still have the ability to reactivate your account and restore your profile in its entirety.
Limitations on removal. Even after you remove information from your profile, copies of that information may remain viewable elsewhere to the extent it has been shared with others, or it was copied or stored by other users. Additionally, we may retain certain information to prevent identity theft and other misconduct even if deletion has been requested.
As stated previously, you can always opt not to disclose information, even though it may be needed to take advantage of certain Site or Services features.
7. Is Information About Me Secure?
Information you provide to Mtweeter related to third party services you access through the Services is protected by the privacy policies and procedures of such third party services. You need to work to protect against unauthorized access to your passwords for those services and to your computer by signing off once you have finished using a shared computer. Only employees who need personal information to perform a specific job (for example, a customer service representative) are granted access to it. All of our employees are kept up to date on our privacy and security practices.
Risks inherent in sharing information. Although we have taken necessary measures to limit access to your information, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot control the actions of other users with whom you share your information. We cannot guarantee that only authorized persons will view your information. We cannot ensure that information you share on the Site will not become publicly available.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
Mtweeter may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the Privacy Policy will govern our use of your information and will always be available on the Site so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances if any, it is disclosed. By continuing to access or use the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
9. Questions or Concerns & Report Violations
If you have any questions or concerns regarding our Privacy Policy, or you have identified any security violations, do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected]. Your privacy and security is important to us and we will make every effort to resolve your concerns.
